London accommodation
There are literally thousands of different accommodation types available in London, to suit every taste and budget; these range from top-notch hotels with all the trimmings in the affluent areas of Kensington and Chelsea, Park Lane and the great London squares, to more affordable but no less welcoming lodgings that are dotted all over the city.
Wherever you stay is likely to be within easy reach of an underground station, and there are plenty of eateries in the capital if you opt for bed and breakfast London accommodation.
In fact, going for London bed and breakfast lodgings has the advantage of allowing you to arrange your own day, rather than having to rush back for lunch or the evening meal. These small, often family-run hotels are also extremely welcoming and you may feel more at home in these snug surroundings rather than in a luxurious but necessarily formal hotel setting.
Cheap hotels in London must reach minimal standards of hygiene and service, and many of them are surprisingly centrally located, with the added advantage that the people who run them will likely have good knowledge about where to go and what to see in London, too.
